Usually people do an escrow account because they do not want to deal with making sure to save the money to pay for their property taxes and insurance. If you are disciplined, I would say go for it otherwise use the escrow.

My job just implemented a Health Savings Account and I don’t understand if this replaces my health insurance. I feel like I’m getting ripped off but I may be misunderstanding this.

I have been debating whether to get health insurance thru my employer or putting that money in a savings account. I currently have no insurance, but leaning towards it. Everyone I speak to, however, advise putting it into a savings account, and not paying the insurance companies. Whats your opinion?
